Description

Grade 4 Revision Booklet for ABRSM and Trinity students

The All-In-One Grade 4 Music Theory Revision Booklet provides extra practice for students preparing for Grade 4 theory examinations with ABRSM or Trinity College London. It is particularly useful during the final stages of exam preparation, alongside past examination papers and other practice material.

The booklet covers the topics included in the Grade 4 syllabuses for both examination boards and assumes a working knowledge of the material covered in the earlier grades.

These Revision Booklets are optional supplementary material rather than essential books. There is already plenty of practice material in the main All-In-One series, including All-In-One to Grade 5 and All-In-One: Grades 1–3 / All-In-One: Grades 4–5.

All-In-One Series | 32 pages | Paperback

Details

The Grade 4 Revision Booklet provides practice in a range of topics, including:

  • duplets
  • technical note names
  • double sharps and double flats
  • ornaments
  • voices in score
  • orchestral instruments
  • rhythm and word-setting exercises

At this level, students are expected to have an elementary knowledge of orchestral instruments and to be able to compose a rhythm to fit words.

Older Syllabus Content

This edition was published before the 2018 ABRSM syllabus update and therefore includes some topics that were subsequently removed from the ABRSM syllabus, including certain compositional exercises.

These can still provide useful additional music theory practice.
